Heritage Quilt Project
To mark the Hudson-Champlain Quadricentennial and the 10th anniversary of the creation of the Association of Public Historians New York State, APHNYS instituted the Heritage Quilt Project and invited each member town to submit a square. Needlework master Ellen Purdy was asked to create North Salem's, and she did this splendid view of Delancey Hall. When the quilt is complete, it will be presented to the New York State Museum for accession into its collection.

A Book and a Scavenger Hunt
Monday, July 12th and Wednesdays July 14th, 21st, and 28th at 4 PM
The scavenger hunt is the same each day.

Come to the library to read a book or two, then go out for a scavenger hunt on the Durand Trail (located directly behind the library)! For ages 4 to 10 years. (Note: caregiver must accompany his or her child/children while on the trail.)
This program has been organized by a local North Salem girl who is going for her Girl Scout Silver Award. |
The summer Reading Game has started. The theme is:
"Make a Splash - READ".
Earn prizes for every 5 books you read or are read to you. A book longer than 100 pages counts as two. Read five books and tell us something silly and you get a "silly bandz".
